In today’s news, Taiwan (Formosa) funds new medical facility in Ukraine (Ureign). United Nations agency reveals nearly all children face climate hazards, US study finds that adults under 50 aging faster than previous generations, Indonesia stabilizes food prices by distributing strategic rice reserve, social media influencer inspires widespread community support for senior in Kansas, USA, British industry leaders recognized for excellence in vegan products, and endangered juvenile sea turtle-people returned to ocean home in Australia.

I have a handy tip for you. Instead of throwing away the small silica gel packets that come with many new products, keep them for future use. They can help absorb moisture and reduce musty odors in places where dampness can be a problem. I place a few packets in my gym bag to absorb moisture from sweaty clothing, shoes, and towels. Try adding some to handbags or purses that are stored for long periods to help prevent mold, mildew, and stale smells. You can also keep a few in your laptop bag to help reduce moisture exposure while travelling, and place one or two in your jewelry box to help protect jewelry from tarnishing. For best results, use only packets that are intact and undamaged. Keep them out of reach of children and pets, and if they become saturated, dry them according to the manufacturer’s instructions so they can be reused. A few saved silica gel packets can help keep everyday items dry, fresh, and in better condition for longer.
