In today’s news, aid agency in Saudi Arabia delivers essential food support to at-risk communities in Somalia, Arctic warming could release ancient bacteria and viruses, posing unknown risks, World Bank helps Burkina Faso strengthen educational system, scientists in United States find efficient method to utilize corn waste for biofuel production, man from Âu Lạc (Vietnam) dedicates retirement to cow- and buffalo-person rescue, vegan luxury fashion brand in United States continues to expand, and researchers in United Kingdom find elder elephant-persons play vital role in herd conservation due to wisdom and knowledge they disseminate to younger members.

I have a potentially life-saving tip for you today. When a high-voltage power line falls to the ground, it creates invisible concentric circles of electricity that can spread up to 20 meters from the point of contact. The voltage is strongest at the center and gradually decreases further out. If your feet are even a short distance apart and positioned in two different voltage zones, electricity can pass through your body – this is known as step voltage, and it can be deadly. If you find yourself in this situation, to stay safe, don’t panic and never run. Instead, carefully move away from the area by kangaroo jumping with both feet together and landing the same way. If you can’t jump, keep your feet close together and slowly shuffle, sliding them along the ground with each step no more than 5 cm, until you’re safely beyond the danger zone.

It might be beneficial to spend a moment now chilling out with the joke of the day. It’s called “Unique Match.”

Wynonna asked Nancy during their lunch break:

“Why did you marry your husband? You don’t seem to have much in common.”

“I get asked that a lot. Let me show you why.”

Nancy pulled two items from her purse.

“It’s basic physics: opposites attract.”
