In today’s news, Qatar Charity begins emergency food security project in Yemen. Uzbekistan encounters water scarcity due to warming climate, Swiss researchers bring wireless charging electric cars closer to reality, South Korean engineers develop cooling system without need for gas refrigerants, retired US police officer washes clothes for the unhoused with laundromat bus, Portuguese vegan restaurant offers free custard tarts during grand opening, and puppies bring joy to seriously ill children in United States.

Here is a little tip on how to keep parsley fresh for longer using a simple two-jar method. Gently rinse the parsley under clean water and shake off excess moisture, leaving it slightly damp. Pour a small amount of water into a small glass jar and place the parsley upright inside, stems down, like a bouquet. Then take a second bigger glass jar, turn it upside down, and place it over the first jar so it acts as a protective cover around the leaves. Store the covered jars in the refrigerator. This method helps prevent the parsley from drying out, maintains proper humidity, and protects it from refrigerator odors. If you don’t have a second jar that fits well, a clean plastic bag loosely placed over the top works as an alternative.

Now let’s ease our minds with a joke of the day. It’s entitled “Reading Between Lines.”

Connor’s wife, a professor of psychology, has published five books. After she’d written her latest one, he stopped at a market to buy some vegan chocolates and non-alcoholic champagne.

“Are you celebrating something?”

“Yes, my wife just finished a book.”

The clerk paused for a moment.”

“Oh, I see. Was it one of those long ones?”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Carter in Canada
